Radio 2UE will feature George as well as Johanna Hemara this Friday, April 2nd at 12:30. Sydney radio stations have been very keen in supporting George’s new E.P. “True Story, I Swear” recently which is very encouraging.

Make sure you support the stations that support original Australian talent by listening in. If the station you listen to isn’t playing George’s music, send them a note and ask them why not?

Highlands FM 107.1′s Craig Bagely will host George this Saturday 27th March. George will be playing live as well as featuring tracks from his brand new E.P. “True Story, I Swear”.

Local stations such as Highlands FM have been incredibly enthusiastic about George’s new CD and really shown their support for good local musicians. We need to make sure we all tune in from time to time to help support these vital local stations.

Tune into 107.1 this Saturday at 2pm to hear the show.

2MCR 100.3FM’s “The Shed” program will feature George Sich and tracks from his new E.P. “True Story, I Swear” this Friday. John K. will be interviewing George about the E.P. and you’ll also get to hear a song or two live.

This is the second appearance for George on 2MCR recently after appearing on Frankie T’s very popular show last week. It’s great to see the support that local radio and media are giving the new E.P. If your local station isn’t playing it then send them a note and ask why?

Tune in this Friday the 26th of March from 10am.

Things are really heating up at the moment with the recent release of George’s E.P. “True Story, I Swear” and the debut of his stunning new film clip for “Spinning and Swirling”. Media interest has been very high with George being interviewed last week on Highlands FM and earlier this week on 2MCR with Frankie T.

This Thursday at 8am George will perform live and be interviewed by Grant Goldman on 2SM and to top off a busy week you can catch him on Friday at Camden Show performing with Johanna Hemara! It’s great to see that the media and the public in general are really getting behind the new E.P.

If the radio station you listen too doesn’t have George on its playlist then why not send them a short note requesting they play it? All the good stations are!

Visit Camden Library 10.30am, Saturday 30 January to be enthralled by Leppington’s George Sich as part of Camden Library’s Inconcert series of musical performances.

George is a multi award winning guitarist, singer and songwriter and he’s a local. George’s guitar arrangements of timeless country, jazz and blues numbers such as “Crazy”, “Sleepwalk”, and “You belong to me” have received worldwide acclaim. George is a regular at the South Coast and Macarthur Country Music Festivals and received the overall winner award at the 2008 Parkes Country Music Festival. Having won several song-writing awards, George appears regularly at song-writers’ showcases across Sydney.

George will be performing a mixture of his original songs, including the award winning “Spinning and Swirling” and “All I’ll Remember”, as well as other favourites, not to mention the popular finger style guitar arrangements.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Chris Patterson said George Sich certainly has a few awards under his belt and it’s great he’ll be performing at Camden Library so the whole community can enjoy his music.

Switch paid off for song-writer George Sich

“BRASS might be bold and brash, but it can’t compare to the guitar for the singer-songwriter, according to Leppington’s George Sich.

Sich, who is performing at Camden Library on Saturday, January 30, is glad he traded the trumpet for strings at age 15.

Now 45, he said the switch opened up a new world of musical possibilities.

“I played in a brass band, but it’s hard to be a trumpet soloist. The guitar is a thing you can play on your own,” he said. ”
